Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). You may optionally provide your business name, phone number, and website URL.

Festival & Business Data

You voluntarily enter festival details, application statuses, financial data (expenses, revenue), hotel/travel information, and contact details for festival organizers. This data is yours and is used solely to provide the Service to you.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information on our servers. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Usage Data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This helps us maintain security and improve the Service.

Uploaded Documents

If you upload documents (acceptance letters, contracts, etc.), they are stored securely and processed only to extract relevant festival information for your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, process your transactions, send you reminders and notifications you have opted into, respond to your inquiries and support requests, monitor usage and improve the Service, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only with service providers who assist us in operating the Service (such as Stripe for payment processing and email delivery services), when required by law or to protect our legal rights, and in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), with notice to you.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing (bcrypt), database access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@beforethebooth.com. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data in a portable format, and opt out of marketing communications.
